Kavyasree Raghunath, present General Secretary, and Manasi M S, present Cultural Secretary of Ambedkar Students’ Association of University of Hyderabad pursuing M.Phil in Centre for Translation Studies,(University of Hyderabad) and former students of EFLU have been denied hall tickets for Ph.D entrance exam in English and Foreign Languages University EFLU, Hyderabad. Both have applied for Ph.D in Translation Studies and were waiting for the issue of hall ticket for the entrance exam to be conducted on 25th February 2017 .As they were not able to download the hall tickets online ,they went and enquired directly to EFLU Administration. Prakash Kona, the proctor of EFLU stated (orally), “You both were actively participating in all protests of Justice for Rohith Vemula everywhere , I have all the photographs of you two on my table”.”Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunaina Singh don’t want to give admission to people like you,” he added.He also instructed them to write a letter stating that they accidentally came in the photographs for convincing the Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunaina Singh, who has a history of taking Anti- Student actions and being castiest Jalees Kodalur, research fellow of JNU, said, “Last year the very same VC (Sunaina Singh) and proctor denied me hall ticket because I ate beef on campus. And now again, for justice for Rohith protests!”
