Pulleys’ Junction set to hold ‘Powwow’; Photo walk to cover extended streets of the Calicut city

An initiative which could possibly turn out to be the first of its kind to happen in the city, a group of youngsters in ‘Pulleys’ Junction’, well driven with passion for photography, have invited aspiring photographers to join them for a ‘Photo walk’ along the streets of Kozhikode. The event was conducted  from 4 PM to 7PM Monday (25-12-2017)

Powwow is primarily aimed at creating a blissful space for all those who lack privilege but contain unexpressed passion for the art of Photography, theatre, art, music and cinema. Along with being provided with a platform to express themselves unbound, the participants shall have an opportunity to interact and acquire firsthand knowledge from various talented artists across the town.

The event which is to be led by travel photographer Ijas, shall also contribute towards collection of resources and materials which shall bridge the aesthetic beauty of Kozhikode with the contemporaries in art outside the city. These collection of photos will be published in various magazines, exihibition and will be archived in website later on.

Having travelled far across the globe, and being showered with awards and praises for his pictures and films, Mr. Ijas  has in his very young age achieved beyond par in this regard. “Calicut Photowalk shall sketch an inspiring beginning to the dreams of many passionate art lovers in and outside the city”, assures Ijas and the Pulleys’ Powwow with all their heart. The group departed from Gujarati street and conclude beside the ‘broken bridge’ at the Calicut beach, after a two hours of stroll along the city lanes including Valiyangadi and Silk Street. photo enthusiasts from various districts gathered in the walk.
