Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) has released the TISSNET 2019 Application Form

Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) has released the TISSNET 2019 Application Form on October 30, 2018. Candidates interested in M.A. programmes can apply for TISSNET to take admission in the academic year 2019-21. The last date to register is December 10, 2018.

The institute offers 53 courses out of which student can apply for a maximum of three programmes across two campuses. Candidates opting for more than one programme need to fill one form only. Multiple applications by a student will lead to the cancellation of all the application forms. Even for all the courses offered by TISS, there is only one entrance examination which will take place on January 13, 2019.

There are different eligibility criteria for the various courses offered by TISS. There are some programmes which also requires prior experience of certain months to take admission in the programme. Though the basic eligibility states that applicants must have a graduation degree of a minimum of three years. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

The application fee for TISSNET 2019 varies according to the number of programmes selected by students. For the single programme, the fee is Rs260/- for SC/ST/ OBC and Rs 1030/- for other candidates. Importantly, unemployed candidates whose parents having annual income than Rs.2.5 Lakhs for SC/ST required to only Rs 250/- per programme. Candidates paying concessional fees must upload the required documents in the form.

In order to take admission in the institute, it is necessary to fill its application form before the last date. The complete process to apply for TISS is a four-step procedure. It includes filling the registration form, entering details in the application fees, payment of fees, and uploading of required documents.

Candidates can pay the fee via cash or payment gateway. If online, then pay via credit card, debit card, or net banking. In case of cash payment, then pay via SBI Challan only. For this take the copy of challan to the SBI branch and pay the fee. Then, upload the details of challan in the TISS Application Form.

According to the admission process prescribed by TISS, candidates have to upload some extra documents to complete the registration process. General applicants need not upload any other document except photograph and signature. Whereas other candidates have to submit the caste and income certificates. Importantly, candidates have to upload the certified and original documents only. Any false or manipulated documents can lead to cancellation of the exam at any stage of the programme.

Though the TISS application form is available in online mode only, still candidates from remote areas can fill the offline form. So, students facing internet and telecommunication issues in the remote areas can request a form from the institute. For this process, send a request to TISS via post along with application fee. The last date for form submission either online or offline is same.

The TISSNET examination will take place in online mode in one day and session in 39 cities all over India. Candidates can prepare well for the exam from TISSNET previous year question papers.
