‘They couldn’t protect a contestant MLA’. BLF and Trans-women protests over Chandramukhi’s missing

Following Habeas Corpus petition filed by mother of Chandramukhi, Hyderabad  High Court ordered the home department to produce Chandramukhi by Thursday 10:15 am at any cost.

The division bench of judges Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice Satyanarayana Murthy ordered the Home department to produce her before them by tomorrow  10.15 am

Spokesperson of BLF told Maktoob Media.

Chandramukhi, a well-known trans activist, reportedly went missing from her residence in Banjara Hills on Tuesday morning.  Her trans friends have alleged that she could have been abducted in a white SUV, which was allegedly lurking in the area during the same time.

Chandramukhi M is a candidate of the Bahujan Left Front, led by the CPM, on the Goshamahal seat in Hyderabad.

Her supporters say they went looking for her everywhere possible the entire day on Tuesday, but could not find her.

This is an utter failure on part of the Government. They couldn’t protect a contestant MLA. We won’t tolerate this. Bring back our Chandramukhi now!

Laila Guru said in the Today’s press meet of Hijra persons and trans-women.

“It has been one whole day that Chandramukhi has been missing and police are saying that they are carrying out the investigation, but there has been no progress.” BLF convenor Tammineni Veerabhadram told The News Minute.

Based on the complaint, the Jubilee Hills police have registered an FIR
