Al Dhaid, one of the finest camping spots in Sharjah and the UAE, is set to play host to the country’s first and only outdoor adventure and camping show next month.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah, the Adventure & Camping Exhibition 2019 will be held at the recently opened Expo Al Dhaid from November 26 to 30.
Positioned as the UAE’s only dedicated outdoors show, the event will offer outdoor enthusiasts an opportunity to explore new activities, buy latest products, gear and equipment, meet experts in the field and much more over five days.
“The UAE has some of the most incredible places where you can spend the night under the stars and enjoy the outdoors. And, the residents and visitors here do not need a reason to hit the outdoors, what with the stunning mountainous landscapes, pristine wadis, beautiful beach-fronts, the red and golden sands of the deserts and the stars and the moon beckoning them,” said HE, Saif Mohammad Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.
“Though the UAE has some of the best-known hotels and tourism facilities in the world, the campsites and adventure activities are much more thrilling than the comfort of five and seven-star luxuries. All you need is the right gear and ideas, and you are ready to let the new adventure begin, in the deserts, on the dues, under the water, the beaches or in the wadis,” he added.
The inaugural Adventure & Camping Exhibition 2019 will be the only event that offers all the latest products for camping, boating, fishing and more in one place, besides travel information, inspiration and fun activities. The event will have sections such as backyard zone, biking zone, climbing zone, dune bashing zone, run zone, travel zone, water zone, live well zone, camping zone and pet zone.
The show will take advantage of the rising participation in outdoor recreational activities, changing lifestyle, and a growing number of clubs and associations supporting camping and adventure activities with a rise in recreational expenditure. With changing needs and rising requirements, manufacturers are now relying on events such as Adventure & Camping Exhibition to provide innovative products that ensure higher safety and comfort levels in terms of size, weight, and quality of the material.
“Residents had no other option than specialty stores and supermarkets to buy equipment till now. The choices were limited in such cases but an event at this scale can offer a wide variety of products, brands and better visiting and shopping experience,” said Sultan Shattaf, Sales & Marketing Director, Expo Centre Sharjah.
The exhibition will provide all forms of camping and outdoor activities, right from stays in deserts to adventure camping, glamping, dune bashing, mountain safaris, canoeing, fishing and even providing outdoor kits for their pets. From sleeping bags to hiking shoes, and cooking utensil to full camping sets, the event will bring together all the gear individuals need to enjoy the great outdoors.
The show will open from 12 noon to 10 pm daily and 3 pm to 10 pm on
Friday.
