Janata Dal (United) National vice-president Prashant Kishor on Sunday offered an assurance that both Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens will not be implemented in Bihar.
Senior leader of Bihar ruling party also thanked Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for their “unequivocal rejection” of the CAA and NRC.
“I join my voice with all to thank Congress leadership for their formal and unequivocal rejection of CAA and NRC. Both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi deserve special thanks for their efforts on this count. Also would like to reassure to all – Bihar me CAA-NRC implement nahi hoga [CAA-NRC will not be implemented in Bihar]”, Known for taking a strong stand against the CAA and NRC, tweeted Kishor.
Soon after Kishor’s tweet, senior JD(U) leader Ajay Alok said all states were bound to implement the new law and also sought to know the “punishment for speaking the language of sedition”.

“The CAA will be implemented in all the concerned states including Bihar and there is no question on this matter,” reaction over Kishor’s assertion Bihar BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand told TOI.
