COVID-19: Global case tally crosses 10 million mark, toll raises to half million

According to Worldometer data, the world coronavirus case tally has crossed 10 million-mark on Sunday.

10,065,112 people around the world have been diagnosed with COVID-19, while 10,065,112 have recovered. At least 500,533 people have died.

The United States has over 2.5 million cases and it sits at the top of the chart both in terms of cases and deaths.

Brazil recorded 38,693 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours and 1,109 additional deaths, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.

The country has now registered 1,313,667 total confirmed cases of the virus and 57,070 deaths.

India has more than 500,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, with a record daily leap of 18,500 new infections.
