Sachin Pilot and some of his associates have been swayed by BJP’s plot: Congress

A day after Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot showed his strength by organising a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meet at his residence, rebel leader Sachin Pilot has been removed from the State Cabinet as well as Pradesh Congress Committee president post.

The decision was taken in the CLP meet.

Two ministers, Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena, were also dropped from the Rajasthan Cabinet. Minister of State for Education Govind Singh Dotasra will be the Congress Rajasthan chief.

“Truth can be rattled, not defeated,” soon after his removal as CM and party state chief, Sachin Pilot said.

Sachin also changed his profile on Twitter deleting all references to his position as deputy CM and Rajasthan Congress chief.

A number of senior Congress leaders had reached out to Pilot since Sunday to resolve the faceoff with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

“I regret that Sachin Pilot and some of his associates have been swayed by BJP’s plot and are now conspiring to topple the Congress government elected by eight crore Rajasthanis,” party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala told reporters.
