“Who says all this nonsense?” Nitish Kumar slams Yogi Adityanath’s CAA Comment

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday told off Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, for his comments on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) “throwing out infiltrators”.

“Who does all this malicious campaigning? Who says all this nonsense? Who will throw out people? No one dares do that. Everyone belongs to this country, everyone is Indian,” Kumar said at an election rally.

“Who talks like this? Our effort is to work for harmony, unity and brotherhood so there can be progress. And these people only want to create divides; they have no other work,” he added.

Yogi Adityanath addressed an election rally in Katihar on Wednesday and said: “Modiji has found a solution for the infiltration issue… With the CAA, he ensured the safety of the tortured minorities of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The centre also said any infiltrator who tries to breach the security of the country will be thrown out. We will not tolerate anyone who messes with the country’s security and sovereignty,”

Meanwhile, in a veiled reference to the CAA, RJD leader and Grand Alliance chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav said, the Centre “has harassed you by bringing in different laws… I stood with you at that time. Let’s not get divided now.”
