Farmers’ unions reject government’s draft proposal

Within hours of receiving Narendra Modi government’s draft proposal to amend the new farm laws, farmer leaders have rejected the proposal and called it “vague.”

Nothing new in government’s draft proposal ans BJP clearly helping corporates, protesting leaders said.

The farmer leaders have threatned to intensify protests and said they will block one road after another.

“We said there’s no point repeating what has already taken place. They conceded there have been mistakes. We insisted that all the three laws be repealed and assurance be given on MSP. The draft proposals are vague. We will block one road after another,” farmer unions told reporters.

Farmers’ unions have also called for intensifying their agitation against the farm laws.

“On 12 December, toll plazas across the country will be made toll-free.On 14 December, there is a call to all North Indian farmers to come to Delhi,” they said.

“On 14 December, BJP offices will be gheraoed, protest demonstrations will be held in many parts of the country. We are also giving a call to farmers from other parts of the country to reach Delhi,” they added.

They further declared they will boycott Relaiance and Jio products.
