COVID-19: India’s case count crosses 10 million mark

India has crossed the grim milestone of 10 million cases of the COVID-19, reaching 1,00,04,436.

It is only the second in the world, after the United States, to have these many confirmed cases.

The death toll in the country rose to 1,45,119

India added 25,153 new infections and 347 fatalities in last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry.

The active coronavirus caseload currently stands at 3,13,831 with a recovery rate of 95.31 per cent.

The Union Health Ministry said that 95,20,827 people have so far recovered from the infection.

​​The total recovered cases are more than 30 times the number of active cases, the ministry underlined.
