India reports 14,849 new coronavirus infections, 15,948 discharges, and 155 deaths in last 24 hours, as per health ministry.
Total cases have risen to 1,06,54,533. Active cases now stand at 1,84,408.
Total recoveries have jumped to 1,03,16,786 with death toll rising to 1,53,339.
The total number of global coronavirus cases has topped 98.6 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 2.11 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
The US is the worst-hit country with the world’s highest number of cases and deaths at 24,985,689 and 417,339, respectively, according to the CSSE.
India comes in second place in terms of cases.
According to India’s health ministry, nearly 1.6 million beneficiaries have received the COVID-19 vaccination so far.
India took only 6 days to roll out 1 million vaccine doses, ministry said.
