“Poribortan (change) will happen in Delhi, not in Bengal,” Mamata Banerjee to PM Modi

Retorting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark at Brigade Ground where he questioned Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Siliguri said that the “poribortan (change) will happen in Delhi, not in Bengal.”

Addressing a grand BJP rally in the poll bound state, Modi accused the ruling TMC of indulging in “tolabaazi, syndicate, and commission cut”, while promising to bring ‘asol poriborton’ (real change) in the state if the BJP government comes to power.

Responding to PM, the vocal Bengali leader Banerjee said that the India knows about a syndicate, that is PM Modi and Amit Shah’s syndicate.

Taking a dig at CM Banerjee, the PM said that people of Bengal chose her as their ‘Didi’ (elder sister) but she betrayed their trust and preferred being a ‘bua’ (aunt) to her ‘bhatija’ (nephew) only.

“He (PM Modi) said there is no women security in Bengal but look at UP, Bihar and other states. Women are safe in Bengal,” Banerjee said.

“Khela hobe!’ We are ready to play. I am ready to play one-on-one… If they (BJP) want to buy votes, take the money and cast your vote for TMC,” CM said while addressing the party workers in Siliguri.

“For BJP, before elections ujala and post elections jumla. People will not tolerate BJP’s lies. If they bribe you for votes, you know what to do. Bengal doesn’t want their tolabazi and jumla,” says Banerjee.

Taking a dig at PM Modi, Banerjee said that she had never seen a PM who lies every where.

“He doesn’t know anything but to lie. PM reads his speeches from teleprompter in Bengal. He writes the Bengali slogans in Gujarati,” she added.
