Ahead of assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) supremo Kamal Haasan on Wednesday released a new campaign video attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
‘A person sitting above is telling us what to eat, which language to speak and how to love our nation and our representative is listening to these things with folded hands,’ the actor turned politician said.
Three years after floating MNM, the veteran actor Haasan is contesting his first election in Tamil Nadu polls. In Coimbatore (South) constituency, Kamal Hassan will face off against the BJP’s Vanathi Srinivasan and the Congress’ MS Jayakumar in a high-profile contest.
Tamil Nadu votes for its 234-member Assembly in a single phase on April 6, with votes to be counted on May 2.
