Will vaccinate entire Delhi in 3 months if vaccination is opened for all: Kejriwal

In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Monday said that that if the conditions for opening new vaccination centres are relaxed and vaccination is opened for all, then the Delhi government will be able to vaccinate all citizens of Delhi within 3 months.

Delhi reported more than 4,000 cases in the past 24 hours.

“Random testing is being done at a fast pace in Delhi. We are doing more than 80,000 tests daily. There were 86,899 tests done yesterday. We are doing 5 times more tests in Delhi than that of the national average,” Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain was quoted as saying by ANI.

India detected more than one lakh coronavirus infections on Sunday, the highest daily increase recorded in the country since the beginning of the pandemic. The previous high of 97,894 cases was achieved on September 16 last year, after which India’s cases started sliding.
