Abhimanyu, a 10th class student and a cadre of Students’ Federation of India (SFI), the student wing of CPI(M), was stabbed to death by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) cadres in Alappuzha district in Kerala on Wednesday night during a temple festival.
The deceased was identified as Padayanivettom native and 15 year old.
Abhimanyu received stab injuries during trouble that broke out when the Padayanivettom temple festival was going on.
Two other persons also sustained injuries and are under treatment at a private hospital.
The incident happened at about 10 pm on Wednesday.
According to Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), the youth wing of the CPI(M), RSS cadres came in search of Abhimanyu’s brother, who is a DYFI local leader, and murdered his younger brother Abhimanyu who refused to reveal the whereabouts.
“Their home had been vandalised by the same RSS sometime back but the hooligans’ blood thirst was not quenched. Comrade Abhimanyu has been a vibrant activist of SFI and DYFI and the involvement and commitment both the brothers shown towards their politics is the only motive behind the criminals in deciding to take their life off,” it said.
