Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has urged UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to fix the cost of COVID-19 treatment at private hospitals in Uttar Pradesh.
In her two-page letter to Yogi Adityanath, Priyanka also suggested UP government to take welfare measures to provide embalming relief to people suffering amid the surge of coronavirus pandemic in the BJP ruled state.
Congress leader also raised the issues including electricity bill hike, fee hike in private schools and taxes.
“UP government should immediately take measures to curb the inflation…people are already burdened with the increased electricity bills. Please don’t raise even a single paisa,” read the letter.
Proposing that the UP government should provide relief on taxes imposed on various products, Priyanka Gandhi urged the UP chief minister to make a plan to exempt businessmen from various taxes as they are already facing the challenge of the slowdown during the COVID-19 pandemic.
