Documentary | Recalling Babri

In November 2019, the Supreme Court of India ruled that the site in Ayodhya in northern India, where Hindutva mobs destroyed Babri Masjid, a 460-year-old mosque in 1992, must be handed over to a trust to oversee the construction of a Hindu temple.

Many argued that India’s top court’s verdict put a legal seal on the goal of the political agenda of Hindutva that led to Babri Masjid’s demolition.

The video produced by Shaheen Abdulla in 2020 December under the banner of Strive UK, showcases the fabrications, lies, and cover-up used to justify the political mobilisation of mob frenzy and legal justification of Babri Masjid demolition.
