In Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad, a 40-year-old electrician Sreekesh Kumar has come out alive after being declared dead by doctors and kept in the mortuary freezer for over seven hours.

The incident happened on Thursday night, according to Times of India.

Kumar who had been hit by a motorbike and taken to the district hospital on Thursday night, was declared as dead by the doctors on duty.

The hospital staffs bundled Kumar into the freezer in the mortuary before a post-mortem could be done the next day, the newspaper reported. A ‘panchnama’, was also signed by family members after identifying the body and agreeing to an autopsy.

It was Kumar’s sister-in-law Madhu Bala who noticed that Kumar was showing signs of movement. Other equally bewildered kin then informed doctors and cops.

A video doing rounds on social media shows Madhu Bala saying: “He’s breathing… He’s alive.”
