Following Haridwar event, now 21 Hindu monks form committee for ‘armed fight against Muslims’

Following Haridwar event, now 21 Hindu monks form committee for 'armed fight against Muslims'
All those who spoke at the Haridwar’s hate assembly filed a police complaint against “The Quran, Maulvis of Haridwar and other unnamed Muslims” today.

Days after Hindu monks and Hindutva leaders in Haridwar called for genocide against Muslims, the Hindu monks who delivered hate speeches against Muslims now formed a core committee of 21 for armed struggle against Muslims.

On Tuesday, 21 swamis from Akhadas who met in Haridwar, resolved to continue their armed fight against Muslims, The India Cable reported. Among the committee members are Yati Narsinghanand Giri, Swami Prabodhanand Giri, Sadhvi Annapoorna alias Pooja Shakun Pande, Pandit Adhir Kaushik, Sindhu Maharaj, and Swami Darshan Bharti.

Hindu monks who defended their genocidal speeches, said they now decided to set up a campaign to convert India into a ‘Hindu Rashtra.’

“We are holding three more sansads in Aligarh, Kurukshetra and Shimla. This is our freedom of speech. Akhadas are an army of the religion. Islam ek hathiyarband giroh hai. You can fight them only with arms,” Swami Anand Swaroop said. During Haridwar’s hate assembly, Swaroop had said they will prepare for war if the government didn’t accept the proposals against Muslims passed by them.

Niranjani Akhada’s Darshan Bharti says: “Is it wrong to talk about Hindu dharma in India? Adi Shankaracharya had established Akhadas 1400 years ago and armed them with various weapons to save our religion from Buddhists. Akhadas were like an army of the religion. Just like Guru Gobind Singh had created this army. There was never controversy then. Why is there an issue now?”

All those who spoke at the Haridwar’s hate assembly filed a police complaint against “The Quran, Maulvis of Haridwar and other unnamed Muslims” today.

A video shared by journalist Ashutosh Bhardwaj showed a police officer receiving it amid claps and slogans of Har Har Mahadev.

In a video, Annapurna is heard telling to policeman ‘show us that you’re not biased.’ Narsinghanand who is the main organiser of the Haridwar hate assembly is also heard saying ‘he (police officer) is biased and our side.

Annapurna Bharti, who is the secretary of Hindu Mahasabha and a Mahamandaleshwar of the Niranjani Akhara had talked during hate assembly, about killing 2 million Muslims following the footsteps of Nathuram Godse.

Darshan Bharti told the news website that the Quran has provocative sections and should be banned.

Last week, several Hindutva leaders and Hindu monks, who addressed a 3-day Hindu Parliament ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar, called for “war against Muslims” and urged “Hindus to take up weapons” to ensure a Muslim “didn’t become the Prime Minister in 2029.”

The speakers at the event had asked Hindus to buy weapons to commit genocide against Muslims. No arrests have been made yet despite the outrage from Opposition leaders, Muslim groups, and human rights defenders.

An FIR has been lodged against Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, a former Muslim who converted to Hinduism, and unknown people in connection with hate speeches delivered at Dharma Sansad in Haridwar. None of the other Hindutva leaders and Hindu monks in attendance, despite the evidence, have so far had any cases registered against them. Following outrage on social media, two more names were later added – Dharm Das and one Sadhvi Annapurna.

Many including AIMIM Uttarakhand’s president, Dr. Nayyer Kazmi, Trinamool Congress’s Saket Gokhale, and two former service staff chiefs had filed police complaints against the Haridwar event.

Seventy-six advocates of the Supreme Court have written a letter to Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, asking the top court to take suo motu cognisance of the calls for “ethnic cleansing” of Muslims at two Hindu parliaments in Delhi and Haridwar.

‘Can kill 20 lakh of them’: Call for Muslim genocide at Haridwar event attended by 50 Hindu monks

The Hindu Parliament was organized in remembrance of late Bharatiya Janata Party MP Baikunth Lal Sharma and ended by taking a resolution to establish Santan Vedic Nation or Hindu Rashtra. Around 150 people, including 50 mahamandleshwars, attended the event.

Mahamandaleshwar is a title used by some Hindu monks of the Dashanami order of renunciates founded by Shankaracharya. Literally, “Mahamandaleshwar” means “superior of great and/or numerous monasteries” or “superior of a religious district or province.”

Apart from Narsinganand, who is the Mahamandaleshwar of Juna Akhara, the Islamophobic event was attended by Mahamandleshwar Swami Probhonand Giri, Mahamandaleshwar Anntanand, Mahamandleshwar Annapurna Bharti, Mahamandleshwar Swami Santoshnand, Mahamandaleshwar Maan Madhur, Mahamandaleshwar Loke Shanand Giri, Shri Mahant Lokesh Das, Sadhvi Prachi, Mahant Rameshranand and others.

The video clips of some of the speakers in which they can be seen making hate speeches, calling for genocide, the assassination of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh have surfaced on the internet.

Annapurna Bharti, who is the secretary of Hindu Mahasabha and a Mahamandaleshwar of the Niranjani Akhara was talking in the event about killing 20 lakh Muslims following the footsteps of Nathuram Godse.

“Nothing is possible without weapons. If you want to eliminate their population then kill them. Be ready to kill and be ready to go to jail. Even if 100 of us are ready to kill 20 lakhs of them (Muslims), then we will be victorious, and go to jail… Like [Nathuram] Godse, I am ready to be maligned, but I will pick up arms to defend my Hindutva from every demon who is a threat to my religion,” she said.

This is not the first time when Bharti made such speeches. She has made headlines many times for such statements and activities. She was even arrested in April last year when she made provocative speeches against Tablighi Jamaat.

Another Hindutva leader from Patna, Dharamdas Maharaj in his speech talked about assassinating former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over his statement related to minorities’ rights over the country’s resources.

Calling India “Islamic Bharat,” Dharamdas Maharaj went on to say: “When I had read the statement made by our PM in the parliament saying Islamic believers have first rights on the national resources, I had thought that wish I would be parliamentarian and would have a revolver in my hand, I would shoot all six bullets in the chest of Manmohan Singh as Godse had done.”

Anand Swaroop Maharaj was speaking of waging war if the government didn’t accept the proposals passed by this Dharam Sansad.

Swaroop Maharaj demanded that Christmas and Eid should not be celebrated in Haridwar. “Every year, Christmas is celebrated in the city. I said that Christmas won’t be celebrated, Eid would not be celebrated. Those hotels, who would celebrate Eid and Christmas, should protect their glasses,” he said.

Narsinganad exhorted Hindus to take up arms to protect Hindu Dharma.

“Without taking up arms, there is no nation which has survived and can survive. They have an economy of 40 crore…. Economic power was transferred to them. There was talk of economic boycott earlier. There is still talk of economic boycott. When would you update yourself? Forget about swords. Swords are only played on stages. The one who win the war have sharper weapons than that of enemy…weapons can only save you,” said Narsinganand raising the slogan “Shashtra Mev Jayte (weapon is the victory) along with the crowd.

Swami Prabodhanand, president of the Hindu Raksha Sena, a Hindutva organization based out of Uttarakhand, urged the crowd to get ready to be killed and kill others.

“We have to make preparations. And I’ll tell you what those preparations are. I will make myself clear, this is the solution, and if you follow this solution, then the path is made for you… in Myanmar, Hindus were being chased away. The politicians, government, and police were just standing and watching. They started by killing them by cutting their necks, and not only this, but they began to cut them in the streets and eat them. The people-watching thought we are going to die, we are not going to live,” he said.
