‘Bulli Bai’ case: Accused also Involved In Sulli Deals, says Mumbai Police

The Cyber Cell of Mumbai Police on Monday told a local court in Maharashtra that three arrested in “Bulli Bai” case are also investigated for their involvement in “Sulli Deals” case.

Police opposed the bail application of the three arrested in the ‘Bulli Bai’ — Vishal Kumar Jha, Shweta Singh and Mayank Rawat — stating that as per preliminary investigation, the accused committed the crime with the help of Niraj Bishnoi, Bulli Bai app creator who was arrested by the Delhi police.

The police argued that they “could flee or tamper with evidence in the case.”

Mumbai police have sent a team to Delhi to seek custody of two main accused, Niraj Bishnoi, arrested in the Bulli Bai case lodged by the Delhi Police and Omkareshwar Thakur, apprehended in the Sulli deals app case.

A Delhi court had earlier rejected the bail applications of Thakur and Bishnoi.

Niraj Bishnoi, a B.Tech student, was arrested from Assam by Delhi Police Special Cell’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations unit team for alleged involvement in the Bulli Bai case.

Vishal Kumar Jha has been in judicial custody till January 24.
