Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said he is not afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi or ‘his enforcement agencies’ and finds PM’s ‘arrogance’ amusing.

“I am not afraid of Narendra Modi; his arrogance makes me laugh,” former Congress chief said.

The Congress leader accused the BJP of corruption. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party changed its chief ministers in Uttarakhand as they were all corrupt and ‘replaced one thief with another’.

Addressing a rally at Manglaur in Haridwar district ahead of the assembly polls in the state, Gandhi said, “In his interview later in the day, he (PM Modi) said, ‘Rahul does not listen’. Do you know what it means? It means that the pressure of ED and CBI does not work on Rahul.”

In his interview to news agency ANI last evening, Narendra Modi had ripped into Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of being a “person who does not listen and does not sit in the House.”

“Why would I listen? Narendra Modi, though notes ban, through a faulty GST (Goods and Services tax), has ruined India’s small traders, mid-sized businesses, the farmers and labourers,” Gandhi said.

He recounted the role of Congress in repealing the draconian farm laws. Gandhi claimed the three draconian farm laws were withdrawn only because of the country’s farmers and the Congress party.
