Bollywood couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were stopped from entering Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain on Tuesday night due to Bajrang Dal protest. The Hindutva group is angry at Kapoor for his comment from 2011, saying he liked eating beef.
Clippings of his comments have resurfaced ahead of the release of the movie Brahmastra. Hindutva clan has called for boycotting the film. BoycottBramhashtra is already trending on Twitter.
The police used force to disperse the Hindutva group. A case is registered against the protesters.
