Racism: Kerala RSS leader calls Kylian Mbappé ‘black ghost’

Racists comments of TG Mohandas, former convener of the Bharatiya Janata Party Kerala state intellectual cell and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader about France super star Kylian Mbappé sparked outrage on social media, with users calling out his “blatant racism.”

“I thought that all French men were handsome white people. But now I realised that many of them are black ghosts. Look at Mbappé, if I see him at night I will be afraid and get sick at least for seven days” read Mohandas’s tweet in Malayalam.

French striker Mbappe who has roots in Africa secured the golden boot with his hat-trick in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final and came close to winning a second World Cup.

Mohandas, a lawyer by profession was the state convener of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Intellectual Cell and the general secretary of Bharateeya Vichara Kendram in 1997 and its vice-president in 2006. He also served as general manager of Ayodhya Printers, a company owned by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
