Cristiano Ronaldo signs for Saudi club Al Nassr

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly signed for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr on a 2-year deal, limiting his presence in European competitions.

The deal is yet to be officially announced by the club and the player who has been a free agent since November. The 37-year-old’s dreams of playing Champions League football appear to have ended.

The Portuguese forward will be well-remunerated — $75m (£61.1m) per year at Al-Nassr.

He will also move into an ambassador role after his playing career ends in 2024.

Ronaldo has been a free agent since terminating his contract with Manchester United in November after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

The Ballon Dior winner had a bad year with a fallout with the Manchester United manager and a bad spell with his national team during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
