Prominent Muslim organisations have demanded from the government to rebuild the Gareeb Nawaz Al Maroof Mosque in the central Uttar Pradesh town of Barabanki, which was demolished by the local administration on Monday, defying the High Court order.

Hussain, an activist and businessman in Delhi, started providing oxygen to the coronavirus patients since lockdown was announced in the national capital to control the raging virus cases. Since 17 April till 10 May, Hussain provided oxygen to 1800 people and continues offering it for free of cost.

As a massive surge of Covid-19 cases has been wreaking havoc on the country causing an unprecedented health crisis, Student Islamic Organisation (SIO) is one of those groups which came forward to play their role in the fight against coronavirus by helping the patients and distressed people.

Central government has made several attempts in the last five years to remove around 200-year-old Lal Masjid and take over its adjacent land of graveyard situated at Lodhi road in capital city Delhi despite the land and the mosque come under Waqf properties.

Seven year has passed by since a grant of 136 crore was sanctioned to set up Bihar’s Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) center in Kishanganj under Congress-led UPA government in 2013. But only 10 crore amount has been released so far, which threw the center in a debilitating situation.
