Another Hindutva rally in Maharashtra calls for economic boycott of Muslims

On Sunday, a rally was held on Mira Road near Mumbai, where speakers who addressed the Hindutva crowd raised calls to boycott the Muslim community economically.

The rally was part of the ‘Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha’ being organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj across Maharashtra.  The Sakal Hindu Samaj is a collective of many Hindutva militant groups, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal.

Throughout the speeches, the speakers verbally abused Muslims

Besides calling for an economic boycott of Muslims, they also spoke against “love jihad” and “land jihad”.

Kajal Hindustani, a Hindutva hatemonger, said: “There are three major aspects of Islamic aggression. First is love jihad, second is land jihad, and finally, there is the problem of conversion…For these three, there is a Ram-led solution, a solution for which the political leaders will not stop you, the Supreme Court, or even the media, and that solution is their economic boycott.”

The rally was flagged off by Mira Bhayandar’s Independent MLA, Geeta Jain.

It was also attended by leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including MLA Nitesh Rane.

In February, though the Supreme Court had told the Maharashtra government to give permission for rallies on the condition that no hate speech would be made there, calls for Muslim genocide and economic boycott of the Muslim community were issued by saffron leaders in the rallies held across Maharashtra.
