Asaduddin Owaisi “will be burnt alive”: Death threat from Ayodhya priest

A priest in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya on Friday burnt the poster of AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, and said the so-called anti-national leaders will be burnt alive if “they don’t come to their senses.”

The death threat was made by Paramhans Das of Ayodhya’s Tapasvi Chhawani temple.

“All anti-national leaders should come to their senses. Today the poster was burnt, tomorrow (they) will be burnt alive,” the saffron man said.

He accused the Hyderabad MP of allegedly making provocative comments regarding Udaipur murder. However, Owaisi was in the first list of mainstream politicians who condemned the murder and demanded a thorough investigation minutes after the incident.

Das burnt Owaisi’s poster at the Badosarai intersection here, PTI reported.

While the poster was being burnt, police personnel reached the spot in large numbers and snatched it. They escorted Das out of the limits of the police station area.
