Bajrang Dal men barge into Mangaluru pub, disrupt farewell party of students

A group of Bajrang Dal men in Mangaluru disrupted a farewell party organised by some college students at a pub on Monday night.

The saffron men forcibly entered the Mangalore Pub `Amnesia- The Lounge,’ the same pub that was attacked by Hindutva groups in 2009.

In the latest episode, Bajrang Dal activists forced those partying inside to leave, claiming that women were partying at the venue and this was a violation of Indian traditional values.

The police arrived at the spot and dispersed the assailants after being informed about the incident.

No arrests made so far and no one had lodged a formal complaint.

This is the same pub, where 13 years ago, on 24 January 2009, a group of Srirama Sena members had similarly attacked the customers including women and chased them away.
