Amid turbulence in the ruling JD(U)-BJP alliance, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to meet Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan at 1 pm.
This comes after Kumar held a meeting with party leaders following the resignation of party leader RCP Singh on Saturday.
This morning, the JD(U) and the Opposition RJD held separate meetings of their MLAs in Patna.
“Explosive news soon,” Janata Dal (United) leaders had told the NDTV hinting at a final word on the collapse of the ruling alliance in Bihar.
Amid the turbulence within the ruling alliance, Congress leader Ajit Sharma said: “If Nitish Kumar comes, we’ll welcome him. If he comes we will support him. A meeting of Mahagathbandhan is being held. We should take a decision to support (him) by considering Nitish Kumar as the CM but we’ll be able to tell you only after the meeting.”
The BJP is also holding a meeting at Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishor Prasad’s residence and among those present there include the party’s state unit president Sanjay Jaiswal.
