India’s Nitu Ganghas wins gold medal after defeating England’s Demie-Jade Resztan in women’s over 45kg-48kg final while Amit Panghal wins gold medal, beating England’s Kiaran Macdonald in men’s over 48kg-51kg (Flyweight) category.
This was Panghal’s second Commonwealth Games medal, having won the silver medal at Gold Coast 2018.
In 2022, Nitu won the gold medal at Strandja Memorial tournament before finishing in the quarter-finals of World Championships.
