Congress files police complaints against Arnab Goswami

Leaders of Congress party on Wednesday gave written complaints against Republic Media Editor-in-Chief and right-wing journalist Arnab Goswami seeking registration of an FIR against Goswami over purported WhatsApp chats between him and former BARC CEO Partho Dasgupta where he is alleged to have told Dasgupta about a 2019 airstrike planned by the Indian Air Force in Balakot.

The complaints were given to the Samta Nagar police station in Kandivali and Nirmalnagar police station Bandra east.

“Officially Filed complaint at Kandivali’s Samtanagar police stn with ACP Mohite & Senior PI Hake against Arnab Goswami demanding his immediate arrest for breaching Section 5 of OSA & investigate. It needs to be known as to Who gave him info regarding Balakot strike?”
Congress leader Sachin Sawant tweeted.

Sawant further asked who has Goswami divulged this information to that is related to national security and does he have any Pakistani connections as Pakistan seemed to have been ready for the attack.

Another complaint was given by Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddique.

Earlier this week, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi with being ‘involved’ in the ‘leaking’ of prior information on India’s airstrikes in Balakot in Pakistan in 2019 to Arnab Goswami.
