Delhi health minister, MLA positive for coronavirus, 4th AAP MLA to get COVID-19

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain and MLA Atishi have tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.

Satyendar Jain took a second test today after his fever worsened. The minister’s first test had come negative yesterday. “Today my covid test found to be positive, (sic)” he wrote on Twitter.

Satyendar Jain had attended a meeting to discuss Delhi’s response to coronavirus on Sunday, which featured Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Delhi Chief Minsiter Arvind Kejriwal, and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

Atishi, who represents the Kalkaji constituency in south Delhi, complained of a mild fever and cough on Tuesday, after which she was screened for the novel coronavirus. The report returned today and she is now in home quarantine given her mild symptoms.

Earlier AAP MLAs Vishesh Ravi (Karol Bagh) and Rajkumar Anand (Patel Nagar) have also tested positive for COVID-19
