“Dy CM Manish Sisodia arrest next,” says Arvind Kejriwal, citing “reliable sources”

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was being framed and was likely to be the next Delhi minister to be arrested after Satyendar Jain, said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Kejriwal said he had learnt “from credible sources” that the Union government was preparing to arrest Manish Sisodia on corruption charges.

“Reliable sources have suggested to me that Manish Sisodia is going to be arrested soon; Union has ordered all agencies to form fake cases against him,” Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal had offered a similar prediction back in January for AAP minister Satyendar Jain, who was arrested on Monday.

“I request Prime Minister Narendra Modi, throw all of us in jail together,” the Chief Minister said in a video message.

He went on to say: “Arrest all of us in one go, have us investigated and raided. Then we can get back to work. Because we don’t understand politics. We only want to work.”

“I want to ask the 18 lakh children who are benefitting from Manish Sisodia ji’s work in the field of education. Is Manish Sisodia corrupt? He brought glory to India before the world. Should a man like that be arrested or rewarded?” asks Kejriwal.

The AAP supremo referred to cases against “more than 20 AAP MLAs” and said the “jail-jail game” has started again.

The Aam Aadmi Party termed Jain’s arrest politically motivated. Reacting to the arrest, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia alleged that Jain was arrested as the BJP was afraid of losing the Himachal Pradesh elections.

“A fake case is being run against Satyendra Jain for 8 years. Till now, ED has summoned him many times. After a while, the ED stopped calling him for many years, since they did not have anything against him. Now, they have started again because Satyendra Jain is the election in-charge of Himachal Pradesh,” Sisodia said.

“The BJP is losing badly in Himachal Pradesh. That is why Satyendra Jain has been arrested today – so that he cannot travel to Himachal. He will be released in a few days as the case is completely fake,” he added.
