On Independence Day, the school students staged a play depicting a Muslim man wearing a religious white cap as a terrorist.

According to Khaira, who is also a Punjab legislative assembly member representing the Bholath constituency, the drama held in a school in his constituency Bholath in the Kapurthala district.

“I’m shocked to see entire Muslim community being painted as “Terrorists” by @BhagwantMann govt in their zeal to prove their patriotism during Independence Day celebrations at Bholath (Kpt)! This is a joke of our secularism by none less than govt itself! Plz, tender apology to Muslims,” Khaira, former Leader of Opposition tweeted.
