I went to jail, but never compromised with BJP: Lalu Prasad Yadav

RJD supremo and Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday asked party workers to throw BJP out of power in 2024 and continue with their pledge of social justice.

“I stand firmly with my ideology. Many parties have compromised with BJP and fallen to their knees. But neither I bow down nor will I ever bow down. BJP is our biggest enemy. If I had bowed down, I would not have been in jail for so long,” Yadav said while addressing the party’s state council meeting in Patna.

“Everyone needs to be alert, BJP needs to be uprooted in 2024. I will go to Delhi and meet Sonia Gandhi soon. I will also meet Rahul Gandhi,” said Yadav.

RJD chief alleged that the saffron party will try to divide people by creating polarisation to earn political dividends.

On Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s upcoming visit to Bihar, Yadav said that BJP must have some ill-intention in mind.

Yadav said: “We all have to understand the intention behind Amit Shah’s visit to areas like Kishanganj, Araria and Purnia. There is something fishy in their mind. All of us need to be cautious of the kind of strategy they are planning. Nitish Ji is also cautious and he is monitoring everything with Tejashwi.”
