India’s coronavirus death toll crosses 60000

India has reported the highest single-day caseload in the world every day since August 7.

India’s COVID-19 case count on Thursday rose to 33,10,234 after 75,760 new infections were reported in 24 hours.

India is the third-most affected country behind only the United States and Brazil.

The country’s death toll went up by 1,023 to 60,472.

As many as 25,23,771 people have recovered from the infection in the country.

Maharashtra recorded 14,718 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, pushing its tally to 7,33,568.

More than 24.3 million people around the world have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, and 15.8 million have recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University. More than 828,000 people have died.
