Three members of a Kerala family including a couple were killed in a gruesome accident in Karnataka’s Haveri between a car and a KSRTC passenger bus on Tuesday.
The deceased couple, KA Mohammed Kunji (65) and his wife Ayisha (62) are residents of Nusrath Nagar, Kasargod. Their grandson was also died in the accident, MediaOne TV reported.
Siad, son of Mohammed Kunji, his wife Sajja and daughter Ayisha suffered injuries. They have been admitted to Hubballi Medical College.
The mortal remains of the three deceased are kept at Hangal taluk hospital morgue.
The car was on its way to Hubballi when the incident occurred. Pictures show that the front portion of the car was severely damaged in the accident.
Though the local residents pulled those who were stuck in the car and admitted them to the hospital, the lives of Mohammed Kunji and Ayisha could not be saved.
Son of Mohammed Kunji and Ayisha, Zainul Abideen was hacked to death by RSS activists at his family shop on 22 December in 2014. He was 22.
Kunji and his family had fought for several years, demanding justice for his son.
