KCR meets Uddhav Thackeray, says “good start towards fight against injustice”

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday said that he met his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray and both want to fight against injustice.

“We want to fight against injustice and the misuse of laws. We want to fight for democracy. The meeting with [Thackeray] is a good message and a good start,” Rao told reporters.

We are brothers as our states share a 1000-km long border, said Telangana Chief Minister.

“I came to Maharashtra to discuss politics and pace of development in the country after 75 years of independence. It was great to meet Uddhav ji, we are like brothers… We will sit in Hyderabad or somewhere else in a few days and discuss more,” he said.

The meeting took place in the context of recent efforts by regional party heads and chief ministers of non-BJP states to form a federal front against the Bharatiya Janata Party.
