Kerala should publish community wise data of govt servants: Welfare Party

Ambujakshan pointed that it is the biggest irony in history that the left government in Kerala is holding umbrella to line with the BJP’s goal of constructing an upper-caste Hindutva state.

A day long hunger strike organized by Welfare Party Kerala state committee, in front of the state secretariat block in Thiruvananthapuram demanded the LDF government to immediately publish community wise data of government servants in various sectors.

The protest is against the reservation in government jobs for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) which is being implemented under the guise of economic reservation “by subverting the basic principles of the Constitution.”

The 24-hours protest started on Wednesday.

“The LDF government is trying to prove that it is ahead of Sangh Parivar in defending the interests of the upper castes with anti-minority policies. Welfare Party will lead a strong agitation by building a united front of reserved communities against the reservation coup- the protest opined,” Welfare Party National Vice President K Ambujakshan said.
