Mob violence: Muslim man killed in Gaya, two in critical condition

A mob in Bihar’s Gaya has beaten up three Muslim youths on charges of theft on Wednesday, causing the death of one while leaving the other two in critical condition.

According to the Live Hindustan report, the incident took place in Barachatti block in Gaya district of Bihar, on Wednesday night. The witnesses said that villagers caught the youths and then thrashed them mercilessly. The villagers also claimed that they caught the men with weapons.

They were later handed over to the police who admitted them to a hospital. However, one of the youths, identified as 28-year-old Moh Babar, succumbed to his injuries.

The other two youths Sajid and Rakhmuddeen are in critical condition. They were earlier admitted to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and were referred to Patna hospital due to serious condition.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

Meanwhile, the family members of the victims have alleged that the youths were innocent and were falsely accused of theft.

The incident has caused outrage in the area, with people demanding strict action against the assailants.

The District Secretary of CPI ML, Niranjan Kumar, along with District Committee member and Belaganj Male leader, Mundrika Ram, and AISA leader, Mohd.Sherjahan, have strongly condemned the heinous incident of mob lynching. They have demanded the immediate arrest of the accused perpetrators. Additionally, they have called for a government job and a compensation of 20 lakh rupees to be provided to the family of the deceased.
