Muslim man from Nuh found dead in Gurugram, family alleges mob killing

Razzak Khan, a resident of Tapkan Village in Haryana, was found dead in Gurugram on Friday. His family alleges that he was fatally assaulted.

The incident occurred when Razzak Khan had gone to Gurugram to release rented goats into the city the previous day, family members said to Maktoob.

Worries arose when he didn’t answer his phone that night. His elder son Shakir Khan filed a complaint, saying that his father was targeted due to the recent Nuh violence.

The family found his body during their search, and his auto-rickshaw was found near Hero Honda Chowk, in Marvel Market, Muinuddin, a family member, said to Maktoob.

“This seems to be a hate crime. He was a simple man earning his livelihood by four-wheelers. We demand justice,” he said.

The Muslim community in the Mewat region has been subjected to a series of Islamophobic attacks, including assaults and violence. This recent incident, involving an attack on Muslims transporting livestock in Gurugram, has caused concern.

The Gurugram police have launched an investigation into the incident. Preliminary findings indicate that it was a case of murder, but a comprehensive autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
