Muslim men burnt alive: Organised Muslim hatred in country, says Owaisi

All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supremo Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday attacked the Hindu nationalist BJP on the murder of two Muslim youths by Bjarang Dal men in Haryana’s Bhiwani.

The BJP is protecting cow vigilantes and the Haryana government has not taken any action on it, said Owaisi.

Two Muslim men were allegedly kidnapped, lynched, and set ablaze by a Hindutva mob in Haryana’s Bhiwani district on Thursday. The men were identified as Junaid and Nasir, residents of Gopalgarh village in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.

The incident happened 100 kilometers away from their village, and the Hindutva group had accused the deceased Muslim men of cow smuggling. They had been missing for two days, according to family members who spoke to Maktoob.

“They(BJP) are defaming Muslims. I condemn the murders of Junaid and Nasir. This is a targeted violence against the minorities,” he said.

“There is an organised Muslim hatred prevailing in the country. I want to ask the BJP government and PM Modi that will you take any action against the accused or not? Is this a BJP policy to harass Muslims? Will PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah give a reply on this,” Owaisi asked.

“Till Haryana and Rajasthan governments continue to protect them, no justice will be given to Junaid and Nasir. Haryana government will not do anything as they are protecting them. I am sure the families of the victims won’t get justice,” he said.

“All these criminal elements should be behind the bar. What is police doing for cow protection? Those who are in power should have taken action but they haven’t. You can ban BBC documentaries, but cannnot ban videos of violence of such crimes that are put up on YouTube,” he said.

The family members said to Maktoob that they were killed by members of the Hindutva outfit Bajrang Dal, and that Bajrang Dal leader Monu Manesar was behind the gruesome killing.

A family member told Maktoob that Monu Manesar and his group, Bajrang Dal, had abducted Junaid and Nasir from the forests of Piruka and taken them to Barwas village in Bhiwani, where they were burned alive.

Bharatpur IG, Gaurav Srivastava said to media that a vehicle was found burnt in Bhiwani district of Haryana. He further stated that the vehicle which consisted of “dead bodies belonging to the two cow smugglers.”

Srivastava further said that the Gopalgarh SHO is present at the seen to look into the matter.

A case has been registered and further investigations are underway, police said.

The FIR names Bajrang Dal leaders Monu Maneshar, Lokesh, Rinku Saini and Srikant and the charges are kidnapping and beating Junaid and Nasir.
