“RSS will destroy future and education system of India,” says Rahul Gandhi

The country will be destroyed if the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) takes full control of the education system, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi warned on Monday.

Gandhi was addressing students at the “Parliament Gherao,” a demonstration by the student organizations of the INDIA alliance at Jantar Mantar, protesting against the Modi government’s silence on paper leaks, the privatization of education, and undemocratic policies.

“One organization is destroying the future and education system of India—the name of the organization is RSS,” emphasized Rahul Gandhi.

“Our education system has fallen into their hands,” he said.

“Today, all the Vice-Chancellors in the universities of the country are nominated by the RSS. Soon, the same will happen in state universities as well. That is dangerous for the nation. If this happens, no youth will get employment, and we have to stop it,” he added.

“Students are being discriminated against, papers are being leaked, their demands are being ignored, and rigging and corruption in the field of education are at their peak. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of students to raise their voices against every injustice and fight with full strength.”

Ten student organizations from the INDIA bloc, including NSUI, AISA, SFI, AISF, MSF, Samajwadi Chhatrasabha, and CRJD, have submitted a joint memorandum.

While speaking to the protesting students, he said, “You are students of the INDIA bloc. There may be some differences in our ideologies and policies, but we can never compromise on the education system of the country. We will fight this battle together and push back the RSS.”

“A few days ago, the Prime Minister gave a speech on the Kumbh Mela. I wanted to say that it is good to talk about the Kumbh Mela, but you should also talk about the future. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi never says a word on unemployment and inflation,” he noted.

He also stated that “BJP’s model is to hand over the country’s wealth to Adani and all the country’s institutions to the RSS. We are united against this and will fight together.”
