Balkaur Singh, father of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, walked with Rahul Gandhi during Bharat Jodo Yatra’s Punjab led in Jalandhar on Sunday. Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on 29 May, 2022.
In the 49-second video shared by Congress, Rahul Gandhi is seen embracing Balkaur Singh as Sidhu Moose Wala’s song played in the background.
They were walking hand-in-hand on Jalandhar streets.
“Today Balkaur Singh Sidhu ji, father of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, along with Rahul Gandhi gave a befitting reply to the forces spreading hatred, fear and violence,” read the tweet.
The march, which started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7, will conclude in Srinagar by January 30.
