Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a fresh attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said at Rajghat that although she might be charged and imprisoned, the fact remains that the Prime Minister of India is a coward.
“File a case against me, put me in jail, but the truth is India’s PM is a coward,” she said.
Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi are observing a day-long satyagraha against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi though they have been denied permission by the Delhi Police.
Addressing protesters, Congress chief said, “This Satyagraha is just for today but such Satyagrahas will be done across the country… Rahul Gandhi is fighting for the common people. The statement (Modi surname) was given by Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka but the case was transferred to Gujarat. BJP did not have the power to file the defamation case in Karnataka”.
Priyanka said the time had come to raise a voice against an “arrogant government” as barring Rahul Gandhi from contesting elections does not bode well for the country and its democracy.
“My family’s blood has ploughed democracy in this country. We are ready to do anything for this country’s democracy. Great leaders of the Congress laid the foundation of democracy in this country.”
