A 24-year-old man died by suicide at the official residence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Yogesh Shukla late on Sunday night in Lucknow.
The incident occurred at Shukla’s government residence.
The deceased has been identified as Shrestha Tiwari, a resident of Haidergarh in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district. Tiwari was a member of a media team associated with MLA Yogesh Shukla.
Cops said they found the man’s body hanging inside Shukla’s Hazratganj residence.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the young man killed himself because of a family dispute, said police officials. Further inquiry is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Tiwari’s death.
