Youth Congress workers lathi-charged, detained near Parliament amid protest over NEET

Leaders and members of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) were today detained and lathi-charged by Delhi Police when they were protesting near the Parliament over the irregularities of country’s top examinations including NEET-UG and UGC-NET.

The protesters detained after they faced off with the police and broke barricades.

The injured leaders include Indian Youth Congress national president Srinivas BV.

“Use lathicharge, arrest, but cancel the NEET exam,” Srinivas posted on X, sharing a video of the police attack.

“Thousands of IYC workers have come out on the streets of Delhi today, becoming the voice of students suffering from the atrocities of paper leak,” IYC chie earlier said.
