Alameda County, an American city has passed a resolution against India’s Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) by declaring laws "are discriminatory towards Muslims, caste oppressed minorities, women and indigenous people."

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) said it will organise a statewide protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 on 12 December, on the first anniversary of enactment of the Act.

The Madras High Court quashed the first information report filed against advocates T. Lajapathi Roy and Henri Tiphagne, two Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register Citizenship (NRC) protesters, and took cognisance that no untoward incident had taken place and observed that there were protests across the country against amendments to the Act.

The Uttar Pradesh government declared 14 anti-CAA protesters as absconders including Shia cleric Maulana Saif Abbas and announced cash rewards for their arrest.
