The Allahabad High Court last week observed that the Arya Samaj institution had misused its beliefs in organising marriages without even considering the genuineness of documents.

"Arya Samaj has no business giving marriage certificate. This is the work of authorities. Show the real certificate," said the vacation bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and BV Nagarathna.

Most of such figures, who are made celebrities, are generally not seen to take any serious efforts to create any fundamental discourse of amity within their own communities. Such an obsession has adversely impacted the credibility of Muslims’ own demands, sharpness of their agendas and self-confidence to work in any cause on their own.
